A STRONG FOUNDATION
In a constantly changing world, Central Presbyterian
Day School has remained a dynamic leader in the educational
community with over 40 years experience. Since 1959,
the goal of our school has been to provide a warm, Christian-based
environment for learning. We staff our school with eager
and talented educators who delight in the awakening
of young minds. Our purpose is to foster social, moral,
artistic, and intellectual development in children through
their own activities and discoveries. Teaching them
that they are competent to learn, to grow, and to trust
themselves as well as others is our main goal. Building
a strong foundation for learning is essential for each
child to reach their maximum potential as they develop
and grow. The majority of our children start first grade
in the Gifted and Talented programs and graduate with
honors.
CLASSES
Central Presbyterian Day School offers classes for 3
year-olds, 4 year-olds, and kindergartners with limited
class sizes. The students attend school from 8:30 to
11:30am. The 3 year-olds attend on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
The 4 year-olds attend on Monday, Wednesday, and Fridays.
The kindergarten class meets five days a week. Even
though we are a private school, we follow the PISD holiday
schedule for the convenience of most families.
ADMISSION
Enrollment is based on a first come basis with special
priority given to members of Central Presbyterian Church.
Children who have previously been enrolled and those
who have siblings who currently attend or have attended
will also be given priority.
TUITION
Central Presbyterian Day School is governed by the
Central Presbyterian Board of Regents, an extension of
Central Presbyterian Church. It is this group that is
responsible for overseeing the school. Tuition is set at
a competitive scale. Please contact us for current
rates.
